Workers’ Remembrance at Burnaby Village Museum – Memorial Fountain – Nov. 8
CUPE 23 members, please join us on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Noon at the Memorial Fountain at the Burnaby Village Museum as we remember and honour those members of the Burnaby Civic Employees’ Union who served our country and gave their lives in the First World War. We will take the opportunity to recognize the service of all who came after them in other conflicts and missions around the world. We will gather and observe a minute of silence to acknowledge their sacrifices.

Presented in partnership by the Burnaby Village Museum and the Burnaby Public Library. Presentations are free but registration is required. Join Solidarity Notes Labour Choir and City of Burnaby Heritage Planner Lisa Codd for an evening of song and short presentations about some of the protests and strikes that are part of Burnaby’s history. Singing along is encouraged! In partnership with the City of Burnaby Community Heritage Commission.
